Officially having a week away at the beach! A week away is much needed to recharge my batteries ⚡️ So expect lots of seaside stories 🙈 Having a creative mind means I never truly switch off and am constantly looking for inspiration and seeing potential art in sceneries. I’ve been wanting to share this for a while, finally I can. Last November a good friend of mine commissioned me to do a piece for him. Simon Brown was a corporal in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers in Iraq when he sustained facial injuries during a rescue mission in Basra.
Since his injuries Simon has rebuilt his life with the help of his family, friends and .veterans uk. He is an amazing, inspirational person and I’m so honoured he asked me to do this piece for him. I’ll be including a link in my story about Simon Browns life and what happened to him if you would like to learn more.

Simon’s vision for this piece was something that was deeply personal to him. He explained to me he wanted silhouettes of soldiers walking, with a sunset. His mentality for this piece was to provoke the viewer to either see the soldiers walking into the sunset, or walking away from it. It has a beautifully powerful story behind it, to which I’m truly honoured to have been given the chance to develop Simon’s vision into this piece of art. So here it is, ‘The Last Post’.
