I love to paint using watercolours and ink and my favourite subject is anthropomorphism.

Don’t you just love a little sparrow ?
Whilst they may not be the most magnificent of garden birds they never cease to flutter around most English gardens with their happy song. 🐧🎶

Need to ask your opinion … black or white?
Sometimes when you’re sat looking at a picture for so long you can’t see the wood for the 🌲 trees.

Back to two of my favourites … swallows and magnolias but which colour way do you prefer?

So …. Thank you all for your feedback. I painted the foreground and then painted the background black and regretted it !
I do think it looks dramatic BUT the white seemed to have simplicity and looks a bit more classic 🤷‍♀️ ( how do I age my Memoji btw 😂)
Anyway as people seem to like 50/50 I’ll go with both ( my clever printers can do his) so THANK YOU all for help on this.
I’ll also do one with a gold leafed background soon so watch this space!

To all my lovely arty friends and followers if you fancy whiling away an hour or so pop along to this great exhibition that runs in The Cotswolds from Friday this week. I am exhibiting and doing a live demo on Sat 27th from 2-5pm.
