Hay Theatre presents Agatha Christie’s ‘TOWARDS ZERO’
Get ready for a thrilling evening of classic crime as Hay Senior Youth Theatre brings Agatha Christie’s Towards Zero vividly to life. This gripping murder mystery, adapted for the stage by Gerald Verner, is a masterclass in suspense, psychology and razor-sharp plotting — and it’s coming to Clyro Village Hall this month.
When a house party gathers at Gull';s Point, the seaside home of Lady Tressillian, Neville Strange finds himself caught between his old wife Audrey and his new wife, Kay. A nail-biting thriller, the play probes the psychology of jealousy in the shadow of a savage and
brutal murder. A carefully unpeeled investigation before our eyes, brings the story to a pointed ending.
Dive into a world of nail-biting suspense and clever twists as the thriller unfolds live around you. Perfect for mystery lovers who enjoy a good whodunit and want to experience the drama
up close. Directed by local theatre professional Janine Sharp, the production showcases the talent and commitment of a cast of eighteen young people aged 11–18. This is a truly youth-led project: the Senior Youth group cast chose the play themselves and were hands-on in designing and creating the set, props and costumes, bringing Christie’s world to life from the ground up.
Performances take place at Clyro Village Hall on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd March at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 for adults and £6 for ages 16 and under.
Funded by National Lottery Wales and the PAVO Youth-Led Grant Scheme, this production
promises an unforgettable performance of intrigue, drama and theatrical flair. Mystery lovers, take note — this is one case you won’t want to miss.
