😆 busy in the studio today making up stock for the human sculpture kits! There's a lot of work that goes into each kit - here is my 'running order':
- I make small batches of the aluminium wire human armatures and hang them on one of the studio walls, along with spare wire for purchasers to make additions such as a pony tail. (pictured)
- Air-dry clay is cut down into 2 different sizes (for the small and large kits) and individually vacuum packed.
- Tubs of clay hardener and bronze paint are measured out into pots and vacuum packed. (pictured)
- Small sachets of bronze gilt highlight are vacuum packed (my vacuum packer is an invaluable tool!).
- ‘Dry goods’ are assembled and popped into a hole punched wallet. (Video timeline, picture instructions, cloth, wax paper, tin foil, paint brush, gilt applicator, clay sculpting tools). (pictured)
- Transport boxes are assembled depending on size of order and wire armatures are bubble wrapped. (pictured)
- Finished orders are either posted via Royal Mail or Courier. Phew!
The human sculpture kits come in small (30cm) or large (50cm). I also sell a 'duo' box with one of each size in. They are incredible fun and not tooooo messy (well, perhaps a bit of newspaper on the table would be a good idea 😁). Fabulous Chrissy present 🎁 (please note the kits are not for young children).
