The recent events in Hull have understandably caused concern for many people, and our thoughts remain with all the families affected.
At Adam Collier Funeral Services, we want to reassure our community that we are proud members of both the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF).
As members of these respected trade organisations, we adhere to strict Codes of Practice and are committed to the very highest standards of professionalism, care, dignity and respect. Our premises, facilities and working procedures are independently inspected on a regular basis to ensure those standards are consistently maintained.
The events in Hull have also highlighted the importance of greater regulation within the funeral sector. We have long supported the introduction of robust, consistent regulation that applies to all funeral providers. Families place immense trust in those caring for their loved one, and that trust should be protected by clear standards, independent oversight and accountability across the profession.
Until comprehensive regulation is introduced, choosing a funeral director who belongs to a recognised trade association such as the NAFD or SAIF remains one of the best ways for families to have confidence that their funeral director is working to independently monitored professional standards.
For us, caring for every person entrusted to us with the utmost dignity, compassion and respect is not simply a professional obligation—it is a privilege. We remain committed to serving our community with honesty, integrity and the highest level of care, every single day.
