The weather held off for our big Bank Holiday party with The King. A sea of garden chairs and a whole host of Hound Dogs 🐩 🐶 🐕

Thank you to everyone came along. It was a fantastic afternoon. The staff were awesome!!

EAST PRESTON!!! How will we ever top THIS?!?!

Some gigs you know will stay with you for a very long time.

Earlier that day the forecast was not looking good. 90% rain was predicted for the latter part of my garden show (that rain eventually storm blew through around 9pm - and it was torrential!!). Carlo and I liaised in the morning and decided that it would be best to bring it inside. Your safety is always our priority. Forget the misery of sitting in the rain, we don’t want to run the risk of anyone dancing, slipping over and causing themselves an injury. Besides, it’s just not fair on the staff.

When I arrived the sun was shining, the garden was full and folks that had been told I would be inside were filling both the restaurant area, the front bar area AND the side bar area. Our Seaview annual Elvis party is always busy but this was on another scale.

With it still a strong possibility of rain we stuck with the plan of setting up inside. And yet a substantial amount were now *outside*. So I opened the door next to my speaker and pointed it outwards. Fortunately the sound could travel enough to cover most of the garden. The other speaker I directed inside.

So now my challenge is to try and entertain the entire length and breadth of The Seaview both inside and out. I explained during my soundcheck that I would be moving from area to area so everyone gets a chance to see. And move I did!

In all my performing life I don’t think I’ve covered so much ground in a single gig. You responded with an energy and engagement that was off the scale. I experienced one of my most memorable gigs ever.

We did this together.

The biggest thank you has to go to Carlo and all the team at The Seaview. The food was - as always - exceptional. The staff worked their socks off. I covered a lot of steps, but the staff will have covered many more. Nothing was too much trouble. I had compliment after compliment about how fantastic the team were.

To The Seaview and all the team…you are outstanding. The best of the best.

And, East Preston…I don’t know how we’ll ever top this. We say this every year and yet somehow we do.

AN AMAZING AUGUST!!! 👏👏👏

The sun was shining and we made the most of every ray coming our way ☀️

Thank you SO much to everyone who came along to show after show after show. Without you there would be nothing but me standing on a chair by myself waving a selfie stick around to thin air. Without YOU the magic cannot happen.

The hugest thank you has to go to the fantastic venues at which I’ve performed at this last month. The heat was often in the 30’s and yet the staff worked their socks off to give you the best experience you can get. From the chefs to the kitchen porters to the servers to the bar staff to the managers you were magnificent. Amazing people all of you 👏

What a WONDERFUL August. You all mean the world to me 😀
