💌 A YEAR OF LOVE LETTERS 💌

2025 was a slower year for the Smutty Letters project - other commitments and work demanded my time and attention. And that's ok, it simmers inside me still (always), this calling to build a movement where we speak/ write/ send more words of love and desire into a troubled world, where we unashamedly celebrating romance and passion in a culture of situationships, dating apps, and chill, and where we give our erotic selves permission without shame or judgment.

I don't know exactly what form the project will take over the next 12 months (so many ideas, and not enough time) but please reach out if you're interested in booking me/ it for any of the following (or have any ideas of your own) :
❤️ workshops (great for parties, festivals, birthdays, hen dos)
❤️ readings/ performances (delicious at an intimate soirée)
❤️ interactive letter-writing installation (short one-on-ones with me and my trusty typewriter, where we craft something s**tty or adoring together - also great for parties, festivals, events, weddings)

One thing I am committing to is to sending one love letter a week for the entirety of 2026. This is the first, now wending its way to its recipient, by the grace of Royal Mail. I'm looking forward to seeing what emerges through this practice, and I'll keep you posted!

'"Smutty Letters: Message In A Bottle" is a playful creative-writing workshop exploring the lost art of the love letter, and the role the sea has played in our connections throughout history. An antidote to the fast and flaccid romance of the digital age, and a deep-dive into our innate love affair with the sea, through a selection of inspirational salacious readings and guided writing exercises, the humble message in a bottle draws us into the mysterious waters of our desires, and towards greater intimacy with the human and more-than-human worlds. Open to all (18+) romantics, regardless of gender, sexuality, relationship status, or level of writing experience.'

Pirates, mermaids, sailors, drowned lovers, lustful octopuses, selkies, lonely lighthouse keepers, h***y barnacles ALL WELCOME! I hope to see you there!

'A mysterious encounter is afoot in the beautiful Speckled Wood... In devotion to our own intrinsic and ancient wildness, and to the sentience of the magnificent, sprawling abundance of ecology all around, we are invited to meet with The Wild Gods. Using natural clay, and found materials, we sculpt tiny altars, to be nestled in the landscape. Materials provided.'

Only a few days to go until this lovely workshop, which is part of the programme for 's 'A Curious Town Plays' festival! The weather forecast is looking gorgeous, and this is the first time this workshop will take place in the locale that originally inspired it! And not only that, it's followed by a site-specific performance by the .poets! It's going to be a very special afternoon, we hope to see you there!

Sound the s**t klaxon, because Smutty Letters is going to Glasgow Comedy Festival! For just two nights, Sat 23 and Sun 24 of March, at 7.30pm, you'll find me at , leading a guided tour of some of the finest, funniest, and filthiest love letters in history!

A heart-warming antidote to these strange and disconnected times, this show is for all (18+) romantics/ filthbags who've had enough of the fast and flaccid romance of the digital age, regardless of gender, sexuality or relationship status.

THRILLED to announce that the magnificent Tom Hirons and I are running another 'These Ragged Arrows Of The Heart' workshop, online, on Feb 13, 7-9pm.

The first one, which we held in December led us to and tickled us in some deep places, and left us yearning for more... and frankly, there seems no better time for round two than amidst the the saccharine, commercial love buzz of February.

We'll be scrabbling around in the dirt of our desires for mysterious somethings that might be raw, or l***y, or beautiful, but always truthful. I hope you'll join us there.

We live in strange and disconnected times, when so many of our conversations and even relationships have a digital, ephemeral, disconnected feeling, and many of us long for romance and richness in our lives. This workshop is a guided exploration with poet, Tom Hirons, and performer and ‘s**t-monger’, Rosy Pendlebaby, into expressing that which often feels inexpressible due to vulnerability, societally-ingrained shame and stigma, and the magnificent impossibility of capturing the infinite mysteries of our lusts and longings.

We’ll share readings of some of our favourite love poems and letters to inspire, play with some exercises created to tease our own yearnings onto the page, and explore ways of crafting these into forms that have beauty, truth, and impact.

This workshop is open to all (18+) regardless of age, gender, sexuality, relationship status, or writing experience.

Whoever you are, the love in your heart, and the sensuous, vital pleasures of your body want to live within you.'
