Long post alert, but please take the time to read it! ๐๐
Earlier this season our Workington Town Ladies took on a 24-hour SAS: Who Dares Wins inspired Challenge to raise money and now the Ladies team are playing in a charity kit too!
The SAS challenge was about helping Maisie Turner, just 14 years old, who has been diagnosed with Ewingโs Sarcoma, a rare cancer that affects young people.
๐ต So now we're going a little further and we have worked with Ellgren our fantastic kit partners to create the very 1st 1 off CHARITY jersey for the Ladies team and you can grab yours. But you need to act fast, last orders is:
โณ โฐ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ก๐๐๐ฌ ๐ต๐ฃ๐ & then the order is going in so they are here in time for the fantastic double header against Rochdale Hornets, 16th August 2026.
๐ The Ladies jersey will again have the players name on them and the team will play in their charity shirt at 12pm and then they will be auctioned off to raise more funds!
๐ The Men play at 4pm in a great day of RL at the Fibrus Community Stadium
๐ท The superb Jonny Morton will also be playing the fanzone marquee stage in a day not to be missed! The Ladies squad love this act and the marquee will be bouncing!

Maisieโs sister, Leia Turner, plays for the Ladies team and weโre raising funds to:
โข Support Maisie and her family during treatment.
โข Help ease the financial pressure of hospital visits and time away from work.
This is Workington looking after its own and we are delighted to say that we are also supporting the A.D.M West Cumbria a support group for Alzheimers, Dementia and Memory Loss sufferers. The group brings people together on a regular basis to help and the group was started by big Town fan Andrea Goodall. We're delighted to support another great initiative.
๐ You can support both causes by getting one of these awesome replica shirts!
