🎧 FREQUENCY MACHINE — OUR STORY so far……🎧

Since February 2026, we’ve run regular sessions across Harlow and Epping Forest — free DJ skills sessions, workshops and courses for 11–16 year olds. Plus we’ve offered Summer session for children aged 4+ (these were a challenge but LOTS of fun)

This Friday we’re launching our brand-new weekly group — and we’re doing things differently. We are offering a DJ drop-in where young people can share their music, learn more skills and simply connect with one another.

We have listened to the feedback from our young people and we’ve learned, and observed, that it’s not just about teaching mixing — it’s about THEIR music. The tracks that mean something to them. So from now on they’ll build their own USBs, curate their own playlists, and put their choices front and centre. They won’t have to just suffer me making them mix old house tunes 🤣

Right now we share one set of equipment and we’ve found that this means too much waiting, not enough creating. Your unwanted decks, headphones or laptops giving them the opportunity to shine and express themselves through music.

If you have anything that you could donate to our project and help us give every young person their moment behind the decks, then please do get in touch. OR share this far and wide…..there might be someone else that can!

Also, if you want to support us but don’t have any equipment to donate then please head to our crowdfunder page that remains open - https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/qr/VWE0NY3l?utm_campaign=sharemodal&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=shortlink

Big BIG love ♥️🎶🪩🎧
