Playhouse StageWorks Playhouse Stageworks is a small group of actors age 16+ doing acting workshops every week “This year Playhouse StageWorks has some exciting upcoming projects!

Our first and foremost is ‘Table Top Theatre', devised by our very own members of ST. As always Playhouse StageWorks is committed to introducing younger generations to all aspects of theatre from technical, to business, to publicity, to props, costume as well as backstage and of course on-stage skills through our own and Thespians’ productions, as well as running independent weekly Wednesday work

Wednesday 17th April, the end of Playhouse Stage-Training/StageWorks.

Over the past decade there have been numerously fantastic productions, both indoors and outdoors encompassing many different styles and people from so many different walks of life. Many smiles and applauds of audiences who lived locally and had come varying distances, as well as a tremendous amount of workshops and experiences.

Its been a topsy-turvy theatrical experience to say the least, but as a branch of the Halifax Thespians it is time to move on.

There's been over a decade of opportunities and all thanks to the Halifax Thespians, that we had these opportunities to produce such a grand variety of theatre.

We want to thank all the members that helped make Stage-Training and StageWorks into what it became over the years, and we are so appreciative of all the friends we made along the way.

Meet Luke Beevers!

Luke has been a member of Stageworks for eight years and the chairman for the past six and acting for fourteen years. You may remember him from last years productions when he played “The Stranger” in The Mysterious Stranger and “The Gentleman” in The Signalman. He has also been in productions such as Antony’s Gone by and Marat/Sade. Luke is currently directing our October play, Cool Air, but he also makes an appearance so that’s your next chance to see him perform!

Cait has been a member of Stageworks for five years and acting for eight years. Cait usually writes the scripts including last years The Mysterious Stranger and this years Cool Air. In the past Cait has played “Napoleon” in Animal Farm and several characters in Horrible Halifax.
