I started this project with my film camera way back in 2018 and it was today that I dug them out of my hard drive. I felt like I found a time capsule and travelled to all these past adventures with all these special individuals I had photographed.

Do you ever look at an old picture and feel transported into that very moment in time? The conversations had, the things you were going through personally… it was like I was experiencing those days and memories all over again.

So here is where it all started, the heart and soul of the project. The hours, money, and creative energy I had put into taking these photographs, connecting and creating personalised nail art for each individual. It paid off 🦋

Yep I’m not joking, ask my friend Noe.

Why?
Because I was hurt by a man 🥴🥲
Honestly though, many men up until that point.

Admittedly I did have to take a long break from this page, to gain perspective and go inwards…

I soon realised, yes, I didn’t feel emotionally safe or seen in my past relationship, or with the men who I was hurt by.

But that shouldn’t stop me from creating that safe space for others, who are seeking that place of belonging where they can open up, just like me.

That shouldn’t stop me from experiencing beautiful milestones such as painting nails for young boys, and men on their weddings.

I’m so glad I kept going, and I continue to experience so many beautiful stories and moments with you while I bring your nail visions to life. They say time is the greatest healer, but I think it’s creativity, and connection.
