Have you upgraded your outdoor gear this year? Have you got a pile of camping kit in a cupboard somewhere from when you thought you were going to do the coast to coast?
Each year around 1/3 of all tents and millions of tonnes of outdoor clothes across the UK end up in landfill!
There are some brilliant organisations out there who are taking in used and pre-loved camping and outdoor clothing and equipment and either recycling it properly or distributing it to low income individuals, homeless people and outdoor education charities!

We are in talks with the National Grid, the agency and the local resilience forum to create a network of local support for emergency situations such as power outages, heat waves and internet outages. We need to ensure that we are prepared for all eventualities as a community and to make sure that the most vulnerable in our neighbourhoods are supported.

We’ve had one day of rain; the drought is over! 😍

Did you know it would take months of non-stop rain to undo the drought we have been experiencing in these recent high-drought years?

It may look grey, it may feel cooler, but the day-to-day actions which previously may have had only a minor impact, will still spark a huge one.
