Ross Smith: Told You So
Thursday 9 July @ 7:30pm

Ross Smith returns with a brand-new hour that’s still under construction…much like his career. As a winner of Dave’s Top 10 Jokes of the Fringe 2019, he’s back with fresh jokes, experimental ideas, and stories he hasn’t quite figured out how to end yet.

Come watch one of the UK’s finest 36-year-old comedians build a show in real time. It’s messy, it’s fun, and occasionally brilliant – like a toddler’s drawing but with more swearing.

“Hilarious and original- unlike this quote” Nish Kumar

“Laugh out loud gags cleverly set up- go and see Ross Smith” ★★★★★ Bruce Dessau, Beyond the Joke

Stuart Goldsmith: Canary
Wednesday 8 July @ 9pm
The Back Room of The Star Inn

As the miners scrambled to safety, they’d often grab the dead canary and then immediately revive it with pure oxygen, condemning it to a constant loop of singing, panicking, dying and then singing again. A bit like medicating your chronic anxiety by making people laugh about the climate crisis.
As seen on Live At The Apollo (BBC) and Conan (TBS).

All the Animals: Ranked (by Comedians)
Tuesday 7 July @ 9PM
Panel includes Leslie Gold, Sooz Kempner & Rachel Creeger.

A panel of not-quite-tame comedians battle it out to determine the ultimate list of the best (and worst) animals, with an ever-evolving leader board plus animal-themed interactive games. A funny panel-show spin on our furry, feathery, finny friends!

Everybody has opinions about animals. Some of them are funny. We’re going to attempt what Charles Darwin, David Attenborough, and the Muppets have never quite managed to do: definitively rank the animals – and have a whale of a time doing it.

Andy Storey: Awkward-er
Tuesday 7 July @ 7:30PM
The Back Room of The Star Inn

Are you terrified of small talk? Do you ever worry about your ‘reaction face’ when someone else is talking? Do your freeze when the doorbell rings? Are you determined to keep the world at arm’s length?

Expect stand-up comedy about social conventions, stomach churning small talk, strained human relations, failed self-help, successful self-doubt and arse-tight pedantry.
