This pantomime is unlike anything Gareth has done before… because this is the first time he’s ever taken on Beauty and the Beast.

Not only is he starring as the Beast, but he’s also co-producing the entire production alongside G&S Productions, making this one even more special.

And the cast? Simply outstanding🌹

We’ve only announced part of the lineup so far, with plenty more talented performers still to be revealed. We can’t wait to introduce the rest of this incredible company over the coming weeks… 👀✨

Throwback to our recent auditions, which were held in the beautiful setting of The Priory 1101 🤍

We wanted to take a moment to show some love to the venue because honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to welcome so much incredible talent.

Steeped in history and full of character, from the vaulted ceilings to the exposed beams and stunning stonework, it’s one of those places you walk into and instantly feel inspired.

There was something really special about bringing a brand-new production into a space that has been standing for hundreds of years.

A huge thank you to The Priory 1101 for providing such a memorable backdrop to our audition process. We feel very lucky to have been there 🤍

We’re excited to welcome João Vila Real (JJ) to the cast of Beauty and the Beast this Christmas! 🌹✨

Originally from Porto, Portugal, and now based in Suffolk, JJ trained in Dance and Musical Theatre at Phil Winston Theatre Works before going on to build an impressive career as a professional dancer, choreographer and qualified IDTA dance teacher.

His credits include performing internationally with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines and Mirage Shows & Productions, serving as Dance Captain for Legends of the Stage, appearing in Kinky Boots at the Grand Theatre Blackpool, and touring the UK in Kerry Katona’s Super Troupers.

JJ is delighted to be joining the cast of Beauty and the Beast this festive season, and we’re thrilled to have him as part of this year’s production.

Say hello to Joe, who will be joining us for Beauty and the Beast this Christmas! 🌹🎭

After graduating from Performers College Essex in 2023, Joe has already built an exciting professional career spanning theatre, television and international cruise entertainment.

His credits include performing with Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures in Romeo & Juliet, appearing alongside Becky Hill at Wembley Stadium for the UEFA Women’s Final, and starring in Crossroads Pantomimes’ production of Jack and the Beanstalk at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley.

Originally from Southwold, Suffolk, Joe is looking forward to spending the festive season at Britannia Pier with our incredible cast and creative team.

We’re delighted to have him on board and can’t wait for you to see him on stage this Christmas! ✨

Our next cast announcement is the wonderful Alice! 🌹✨

Alice trained in Musical Theatre and Dance at Performers College and has since enjoyed a varied career across stage, screen and live entertainment.

Her credits include performing at Disneyland Paris, appearing in the Robbie Williams film Better Man, and featuring in campaigns for major brands including HSBC and FIFA.

Alongside this, Alice has built an impressive list of theatre credits, with roles in Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, The Wizard of Oz, Dick Whittington and Sleeping Beauty.

Returning to Britannia Pier is particularly special for Alice, having first performed on this stage as a young girl. We’re thrilled to have her joining us this Christmas and can’t wait for audiences to see her bring the magic of Beauty and the Beast to life.

We’re delighted to welcome Lauren to the cast of Beauty and the Beast this Christmas! 🌹

Originally from Norfolk, Lauren trained at Central School of Dancing and Performing Arts before going on to study at Performers College Essex, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Dance and Musical Theatre.

Her professional credits include Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Oliver! and the UK tour of Never Forget, and we’re thrilled that she’s returning to Norfolk to perform in her eighth professional pantomime.

We asked Gareth if he ever imagined himself being part of a pantomime like this, in Great Yarmouth, when he was younger.

Having always loved panto, he’s now not only starring as the Beast, but also co-producing the show!

And from speaking to him, it’s clear he’s excited to bring something special to the Britannia Pier this Christmas🎭
