Volunteers please!

We're looking for help on Saturday 23 September noon until midnight, specifically:

🍻 On the beer taps
🍹 Behind the bar
🍔 In the kitchen
💷 On the door

We'll be contacting the various village groups asking for help, but if you want to let us know now, please sign up via our website.

No experience needed! We'll be holding a briefing on the Friday evening with a chance to sample of few of the drinks!

Save the date! 23rd September Great Ouseburn Beer Festival
This year, it's more than just beer....
Exciting new plans are in place for this years Great Ouseburn Beer Festival. We’re introducing a wider range of wines, champagne and spirits.

The festival was established in 2010 by a small group of intrepid volunteers who wanted to raise money for great causes and bring great beer to Great Ouseburn. The last two years has seen the festival reduce in size due to the pandemic, with fewer beers, fewer bands but no less greatness.

Now in its twelfth year, a new group of gallant volunteers is looking to build the event up again with a wider range of beers, a new gin and fizz bar and some fantastic local bands.

1 more day until the Great Ouseburn Beer Festival kicks off!!!

Remember doors open at 2pm and its £5 entry (all profits go to groups in the community) which includes your festival programme and glass.

Whilst we've got over 20 real ales for you to try, there's also a Cider Bar, Fizz Bar, soft drink stall, delicious food AND two amazing bands in The Sidewinders and Sister Madly.

You'd be a fool to miss it!

So, come and get jolly with us down at Great Ouseburn Village Hall!

2 Weeks to Go until the festival!

And, not only do we have over 20 beers to try, a fizz bar, a cider bar, food, and excellent company, but we also have 2 exceptional bands...

The Sidewinders - a female-fronted covers band playing a range of rock, rock 'n' roll, disco and pop.

Sister Madly - a covers band, based in York, with two extremely talented female lead vocalists and a talented bunch of musicians behind them. Playing a range of music that'll keep you dancing the evening away.

Kick-off is 2pm on Saturday 5th October. Tickets are £5 on the door (includes a festival glass and programme).
