Hi, hope you’re having a good week. On this hot day I’m thinking about snowflakes ❄️ of course 😉
Let’s have a look at my new snowflake mould
I’ve already had a chance to use this, so at the end you can let me know whether you prefer them plain white off with a gold centre?
The idea with these to to put them on a piece of glass and fire them again to get all glossy and then they will be a hanging decoration to sit on a Christmas card
Do you like to give a Christmas card thats a bit special and has a keepsake for the recipient?
I know a lot of people gift Christmas decorations anyway
So tell me are you
🤍team white, love the snowflakes pure white
🌟✨team gold. If it doesn’t move sprinkle a bit of gold dust on it at Christmas
Or are you forming your own team, should they even have a bit of blue?

Today I have a fiver Friday offer for you!
As you may know Christmas in July is a thing! In my world it’s definitely a thing as it’s when I start making for Christmas and this weeks kiln load was about half Christmas!
Anyway I’ve been refining my wreath decorations this year and I have these 3 sample / old stock decorations to clear today at £5 each. They are normally £9
Just one of each available
They are approx 9-10cm diameter and can be hung on a tree or in your window
How do you feel about Christmas in July?

Happy Wednesday!
Let’s take a closer look at my beesip dish
Perfect for helping out our pollinators in this hot weather, just keep it full of water nestled in the garden and the textured centre provides a safe place for bees to land.
However previous customers of it have said it too nice for the garden, so they’ve used it in the house.
It could be a soap dish, teabag dish…. What would you use it as?

A little work in progress for you….
The beauty of glass making is layering up the design.
First I’ve cut the sheet glass into pieces
Then add paint, this is special paint that will be fused into the glass at 750C so won’t peel, fade or scratch off.
Although the paint looks grey it will fused black
Next the fun bit, adding colour and texture with crushed and powdered glass
Then in for a 24 hour firing
You can also see my “shopping list” for things for this kiln load, although I’m not sure it will all fit!
So here’s a guessing game for you. How many items will it take to fill the kiln later this week? The kiln is 50x50cm

In fact I am making more this weekend, with the new sheep one on the bench too.
I now faithfully promise not to talk cards until the sheep one is finished 😆

Morning.
I’m just sending off these two cards this morning and then I’m planning to get back into the workshop after a lovely week in the Italian Dolomites.
We had a fabulous time by the lake and exploring up in the mountains. Expect a lake and mountain heart coming up soon!
I hope to finish, photograph and list all the bottles today. Wish me luck!
I’ve lots of designs of cards with a keepsake available. The perfect card and gift in one.
They can be blank, or have happy birthday or thank you on the front.
The thank you ones would be ideal for any last minute teacher presents
