I'e had this conversation quite a lot with people lately and I hear people putting off booking a tattoo because they feel their bodies aren't the right size, shape, skin tone, feel like they are too old, too many stretch marks, scares or body hair.
I completely understand why people feel like this. There are parts of my body I sometimes wish I could change and I know the industry and media has a big part to play in this.
Although I don't profess that tattoos will heal the relationship we have with our bodies, I do feel they can empower us which makes us appreciate our bodies in a different way.
So don't put off booking that tattoo because you think your body needs to earn it- your body is perfect for that tattoo!
I want to say a massive thank you to those who open up about these topics because its through having these conversations with you gorgeous lot I can see as tattoo artists and an industry, we need to be doing better.
