Some moments ask nothing of us except that we notice them.
A grey sky. Light quietly finding its way through. The steady rhythm of the sea.
These are the moments I return to again and again. They remind me that beauty isn’t only found in the spectacular. More often, it’s in the pause, the shift, the space between what was and what’s next.
It’s why I collect these moments on my walks, and why they find their way into my paintings. Not to recreate a place, but to hold onto the feeling it gave me.
