Well that was We Want Lesstival 2. What an outstanding weekend and the reason is because of all you people who came; performers, stewards, staff, crew, and the humans who wanted to av it in the sun. You bought the love, the talents and the positive vibes in abundance.
We Want Less has come in many forms, YouTube TV show, podcast, club night, open mic/jam night, and currently We Want Less radio show and was created as a way to spread our music and connect with like minded people and this festival is a celebration of the brilliant eggs we’ve met along the way who were out in full force this weekend, and it was also great to see new faces from afar who have discovered our community. They may have been new faces but we shared the same heart.
Sets from professionally touring artists to acts who formed around the well regulated fire the night before, you never know what’s gonna happen! We make the framework, book the bands and then everyone else takes it from there. That’s the spirit.
From the opening ceremony, through to the powerful and emotive closing performance, bonds were formed, joy was spread and most importantly the dream was kept well and truly alive.
WE WANT (nothing) LESS than for this to continue and grow and we know many of you do to. There is no budget. It’s created from ticket sales and the spare change out of our own pockets.
The only slight dampener of the weekend is that we have taken a bit of a personal financial loss this time round. Profit is not the motivation but it would be nice to break even.
Watching everyone come together, having fun, making connections and sharing the love is what gives us a buzz and inspires us to bang on about it. We’ve had lots of messages, love and feedback of all the fun that was had all weekend and so to help ensure LESSTIVAL goes ahead next year we will be offering you the opportunity to reserve next years tickets for a £10 deposit. A link will be posted soon. Anyone showing their support in this way will receive very exciting limited edition goodie bag on entrance. It’ll have a set of washing up sponges and some sort of t shirt and cheque book and pen set, you know important things. So spread the word but only to other good eggs.
Also thank you to all at Lower Lode Inn with their great hospitality at their beautiful venue.
So let’s all come together and get even lesser, at We Want Lesstival (over 2.5). Date to be confirmed very soon so if you send a deposit and can’t do that date, you can have your £10 back.
