Hard to believe that a week ago the Festival had already come to an end.

As we’ve been looking back through our memories, we came across this lovely video from the closing night of the Glossop Festival Orchestra playing Debussy’s Clair de Lune, a moment of calm, beauty and reflection that perfectly captured the spirit of the evening.

It’s the final day of the Festival 🎶

Friday. Late-night piano. A moment to pause.

As the day fades, join us for an intimate late-night piano recital with Benjamin Powell.

Schumann’s Kreisleriana moves between extremes of passion and tenderness; a deeply personal love letter to Clara Schumann, full of volatility, vulnerability and beauty. It is paired with Frederic Rzewski’s De Profundis, a stark, powerful modern work whose intensity feels especially gripping in the late-night stillness.

This Friday: an opening night you won’t forget.

Our Summer Festival begins with an immersive choral concert from Kantos Chamber Choir, one of the UK’s most exciting vocal ensembles, filling Glossop Parish Church with rich, surround-sound choral music. Expect composers from Renaissance to contemporary, a choir moving through the space, and the haunting, atmospheric saxophone of Glossop’s own Carl Raven woven through the sound.

This is not a traditional sit-back choral concert – it’s visceral, enveloping and genuinely spine-tingling.

The Summer Festival has begun! 🎉

With just one week to go until the Summer Festival finale, hear from Katie Stillman, leader of the Orchestra of Opera North and director of the Glossop Festival Orchestra.

Katie will lead an orchestra made up of musicians from the Hallé, BBC Philharmonic, Manchester Camerata and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, alongside international pianist and Festival President Viv McLean.

Together they'll perform a programme packed with drama, beauty and energy, including Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 24, Debussy's Clair de Lune and Beethoven's exhilarating Symphony No. 7.

A world-class concert, right here in the High Peak.
