We’ve created affordable, flexible creative workspace for artists, makers, designers, freelancers, cultural organisations and creative businesses looking for a place to make, think, connect and grow.

Located alongside Glossop Market Hall, the Hub is designed to support a thriving creative community – with workspace, shared facilities, networking opportunities and access to the wider Glossop Creates programme.

BIG NEWS – the Glossop Creates Hub is finally ready! 🎉

After a long journey getting the space activated, cleared and prepared, we’re incredibly excited to begin welcoming creatives into the new Hub in the heart of Glossop.

Glossop Creates Hub offers affordable studio and workspace for creatives, makers, artists and creative businesses, alongside opportunities for collaboration, networking, events and creative community building.

We already have some brilliant creatives moving in, and we’d love for you to join us on the journey as the space comes to life.

Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so be quick if you’d like to be involved.

✨ Glossop Creates Hub – Open Day ✨

We’re opening the doors to the Glossop Creates Hub – a new creative home in the heart of Glossop – and we’re inviting artists, makers, designers and creative businesses who are keen to secure a space to come and explore.

The Hub is a blank canvas and we want the people who’ll use the Hub to help shape how it works, what it offers, and how it supports creative practice day-to-day.

Join us for our open day, where you can explore and get a feel for the building, and hear more about our plans for this new creative hub in the heart of Glossop.

It’s more than renting a desk or studio. It’s about building a shared creative space that supports making, learning, collaboration and connection. We want the Hub to grow and be shaped with the local creative community, not just for it.

Before Christmas, we shared some big news.

Glossop’s new creative workspace is opening in early 2026 and now we’re inviting expressions of interest.

The Glossop Creates Hub will bring together studios, hot desks, a Library of Things, a zine + art book library, meeting and workshop space, and a public gallery - all inside the Municipal Building.

A long-awaited home for making, learning, collaborating and connecting. A space shaped by and for Glossop’s creative community.

Whether you’re interested in renting a studio, hiring a room, exhibiting your work or simply finding out more, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking forward to launching The Living Room today at the Gamesley Christmas Fair – 2pm–5pm.

Join us at a free, family-friendly afternoon full of festive fun – stalls, treats, activities and plenty of Christmas sparkle.

Local artist Sue Reddish will be hosting some Living Room gentle drop-in activities in the Hall:

🎄 Make your own gingerbread houses and scrap-fabric Christmas trees
Create a decoration you can take home, or choose to hang on The Living Room tree.

✨ Share a Christmas memory, a hope, or a future dream
While making, Sue will invite you to recall a festive moment from the past, think about this year, or imagine the Christmases to come. These reflections will be added to the Gamesley Community tree.

You can also join us in Twig – drop in, warm up, and make yourself at home. We’d love to see you there. 🎄🕯️

Join Glossop artist Sue Reddish for a drop-in workshop inspired by A Christmas Carol, creating decorations themed around the past, present and future of Gamesley. Your creations will help tell a collective story on the Gamesley Community Centre tree. ✨

The Living Room is a partnership project between Gamesley Community Group, The Bureau, Glossop, and Local Co-Lab CIC – using creativity to bring people together to share stories, spark connections and imagine future possibilities together.

🎼WORLD-CLASS MUSIC IN GLOSSOP THIS WEEKEND!🎼

Glossop Music Festival’s 2025 Summer Festival begins tomorrow - with six events over Friday 20 and Saturday 21 June at venues across Glossop.

What do one of the world’s finest guitarists, Jazz FM’s ‘Breakthrough Artist of the Year’, the composer behind CBeebies’ Musical Storyland and The Gingerbread Man and the passionate rhythms of the tango all have in common? They’re showcased at Glossop Music Festival’s Summer Festival - and it’s all happening this weekend!

“We’re so excited to get our biggest and most diverse Summer Festival underway,” says Claire Surman, of the Festival’s artistic team. “Glossop is about to host some of the UK’s most outstanding musicians - and with sunshine forecast and the bubbles flowing, we can’t wait to welcome everyone to this celebration of live music. There really is something for everyone!”

The weekend begins with Craig Ogden, the Australian-born guitarist who is a household name to listeners of Classic FM and BBC Radio 3. Craig performs Rodrigo's stunning Concierto de Aranjuez with the Glossop Festival Orchestra – comprising musicians from the country’s top orchestras – directed by Katie Stillman, leader of the Orchestra of Opera North. Join them in Old Glossop’s beautiful Parish Church for an unforgettable evening.

Then there’s Late Night Jazz from award-winning singer, Ni Maxine. Fresh from sold-out solo shows, opening for Corinne Bailey Rae's recent tour, and performances at London’s Jazz Cafe, Royal Albert Hall, and the Cheltenham and Leeds Jazz Festivals, Ni is a rising star in British jazz.

Don’t miss two magical, interactive Family Concerts from the award-winning Carrot Productions on Saturday morning, featuring Peter and the Wolf and a brand-new animation of The Bear, the Piano, the Dog and the Fiddle. With music by Daniel Whibley (CBeebies), narration specially recorded by Michael Sheen, free crafts, and refreshments - it’s a treat for all ages!

The Festival closes celebrating The Tango! Learn to dance the tango in a fun afternoon workshop, open to all ages and levels – and for both those new to Argentine tango, and those looking to deepen their understanding of its core principles. Then enjoy the grand finale in the closing concert – a passionate celebration of Piazzolla’s vibrant tango music together with favourite party pieces and dazzling showstoppers, performed by a dynamic quintet of brilliant musicians, in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
