Today's a special day, and we're wishing the Scotland Rugby team all the very best in Dublin. At the same time, we're hoping that not everyone in Inverclyde is going to be glued to the television, as I'll be in concert in The Mount Kirk, Dempster Street, Greenock at 2.00 and would love to sing for you there.

On previous visits, there has always been a great atmosphere and I'll be doing my best to ensure the same today. My good pal, Alan Sorensen, will be there, too, and he'll be joining me for a wee cameo on stage and I can't wait.

Hope to see you at 2.00 in Greenock.

PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL.

I'm looking at the possibility of using YouTube, as well as Facebook, as the platform for my future 'live' broadcasts. I've been 'jumping through a lot of hoops' trying to get it to work and now think I can make it work in time for 18th January when I do my next SONGS FROM THE KITCHEN.

I need your help, though, as I must have 1000 subscribers to make it work. Right now, I have 828 subscribers so, if you haven't already subscribed to my YouTube channel, PLEASE click on the link below and hit the SUBSCRIBE button. As soon as I have 1000, I believe I should be able to produce better quality video streams and reach a larger audience.

You might fancy looking at some of the videos that I've already posted - some are relatively new, but many go back to the 1980s and are quite historical/hysterical!

I have three public gigs this week, starting with Glenfarg Folk Club tonight.

It's been really difficult choosing my setlist for tonight's gig - there are so many songs I want to do! Hopefully, I will have chosen the best mixture by the time I sing for Glenfarg Folk Club in Gateside Memorial Hall, Main Street, Gateside, KY14 7SY tonight at 8.00.

I'm really looking forward to seeing many old friends, and maybe even some new ones.

On Thursday, I'll be in Glenrothes for an afternoon concert of Scottish music, and then on Sunday, wherever you are in the world, you can tune in online for 'Songs From The Kitchen'.

I am so grateful for the support I've had for my 'HAND PICKED' shows at Valvona & Crolla, during this year's Edinburgh Fringe.

Apparently, the Festival audiences are down by 30% overall, and I've not been immune to that downturn. The sellouts of the last few seasons have not materialised this time and there have been fewer unknown faces in my audiences. The upside of this is that I've been well supported by friends and it's been wonderful to recognise, and catch up with, so many people who have come along. I really can't thank you enough.

I only have one more performance to do - on Saturday 23rd August at 1.00, and I really can't wait to do it again. If you haven't already attended, I hope you might want to join me on Saturday.
