The Loch Shiel Festival is one of Scotland’s most picturesque festivals: Chamber music in beautiful locations surrounding Loch Shiel - programme at www.lochshielfestival.com Founded in 1997, the Loch Shiel Festival has an internationally renowned reputation for being Scotland's most quirky, unique and ambitious chamber music festival, set in one of the most dramatic locations in the UK - the area
surrounding magnificent Loch Shiel, one of the most photographed areas of Scotland. Described by BBC's Culture Show as 'short on concert halls, big on musical ambition', the festival's directors are keen to showcase the amazing venues and locations on offer in this area by programming equally interesting and unique concerts. In 2015, we present "Strings In Nature", a festival which brings together Scotland's leading string players to focus on chamber music by Antonin Dvorak, as well as Scottish composers Edward McGuire and Sally Beamish.
