🎭 Call out for artists – be part of Theatre in Schools Scotland!

TiSS supports and develops the touring of high-quality theatre and dance performances into schools and nurseries across Scotland. We are now looking to shape next year’s programme, and we want to work with Scottish performing companies and artists.

If you have an idea or work-in-progress designed for young audiences and would like to work with TiSS, find out more here: https://www.theatreinschoolsscotland.co.uk/tiss-programming-and-open-call.html

Deadline: Monday 20 July

We are looking for work as part of our 2027-2028 programme, but we would also welcome ideas, works in progress, and shows that may be ready to tour further in the future.

Theatre in Schools Scotland brings bold, inspiring live theatre & dance productions into schools & nurseries, from islands to cities & coastal to central locations across Scotland. Theatre in Schools Scotland is produced by Imaginate and National Theatre of Scotland.

“Containing a set does not mean containing the ambition.”

Our brilliant technical director Gavin Johnston chatted to Fergus Morgan of The Stage recently about the importance of imagination in his role, pieces of theatre that have inspired him, and his career highlight so far.

Gavin spoke about the joys and challenges of working on ambitious and expansive productions such as The 306: Dawn, which was innovatively staged in a barn in Perthshire (pictured).
