Our final cast annoucement is for Uruk Is Burning by Connor McKenna. BUT - this is only part one! We have a mega cast joining us for this piece and we're starting with:
ELI MCFARLAND (he/him) - EDDY
Eli McFarland is a dynamic Glasgow-based actor and singer currently pursuing an HND in Musical Theatre at the Theatre College of Scotland, having previously completed an HNC at the Glasgow Academy of Musical Theatre Arts. Eli's recent stage credits include ‘Young Man’ in Su***de, and Other Acts of Selfishness, Theatre 118, ‘Joe’ in 9 to 5, Boardwalk Theatre (Theatre College of Scotland), ‘Scarecrow’ in The Wizard of Oz, SEC (Theatre College of Scotland), A Reply Fae the Lassies, Platform Glasgow (Glasgow Academy of Musical Theatre Arts), The Elf School (Wonderworld Soft Play), and a lead role in the National Youth Theatre intake show at the Tron Theatre. Eli’s recent screen credits include Mint (BBC) and advert for The Land of Oz (Six by Nico). Additionally, he is a Gold Standard qualified stage and screen combatant in broadsword, having completed the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School's combat course.
JULIENNE RESTALL (she/her) - RACHEL
Julienne Restall is a theatre-maker and performer originally from Malta, now based in Glasgow and her practice is rooted in creating ensemble-led, physical, and music-filled visual theatre. Alongside her 8-year career, she trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she graduated last year with a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Performance Practice. Her work always comes from a place of joy, curiosity, collaboration and storytelling and she works across multiple forms. She loves working with people and communities, recently having made a clown kid’s show with and for 9-12 year olds commissioned by Żiguzajg Festival. She’s also recently played a featured extra on Kristen Stewart's "The Chronology of Water" that just debuted at Cannes Festival in May. Besides acting, singing and dance, she has trained in physical theatre and puppetry with companies like Complicité, Temper Theatre, Chris Evans and Manifesto Poetico, and she’s currently part of Complicité’s Mud.
ASH ELLIOT (they/them) - TAYLOR
Ash Elliot is an Edinburgh-based writer and musician originally from Birmingham. Their last musical theatre performance was as a (definitely illegally) genderswapped version of Vittorio Vidal in a production of Sweet Charity, and their proudest musical achievement to date is still the five part a ca****la Lady Gaga megamix they arranged back in 2023. Ash is really excited to be bringing some brand new work to life at ANTR's latest scratch night.
BROCK MCCULLOUGH (he/him) - GABE
Brock McCullough is a freelance theatre artist, performance maker, and director based in Glasgow and hailing from Omaha, Nebraska. McCullough is a graduate of the University of Glasgow’s Theatre & Performance Practices Masters where he developed a number of works including a solo autobiographical performance entitled PYRE. McCullough also had the pleasure of performing in PhD student Kfir Lapid’s The Trial of William Merrilees and Lori Delaney’s A Waiting Game. McCullough recently assistant directed and served as dramaturg for a workshop of Emma Ettinger’s Two Truths and performed in Emilyn Claid’s Trembling Forest as part of the DIG Festival at Tramway.
Stay tuned for part two, and while you wait why not grab your ticket for Sunday 👀
