Right guys a little update on this year’s show,,,,,,,,,,
So we are no longer going to hold the show at route 74 Glasgow, due to being unable to agree to the terms set out with route 74 Glasgow at a meeting last week., we took the decision for the benefit of the show the charity and you guys attending, as they have grown their business they wanted to restrict the show to 40-50 spaces bearing in mind we had almost 100 in attendance last year, with this restriction they wanted compensation towards a loss of business over the weekend for those spaces which takes away from the charity we are raising towards,
There was also a total blank on any entertainment across the weekend which included DJ’s either afternoon,early evening etc,
There was also a ban on any BBQ cooking facilities outwith the building and any stalls coming into the show where not allowed to sell any items relating to food or beverages, having had the support from some stalls doing bakery items since way back we felt this unfair as there is no competition in anyway
I can understand that they are protecting their business and clientele BUT
As a charity show every penny raised goes into the charity pot, we have taken the decision for benefit of the show and the enjoyment of a family atmosphere to relocate
The restrictions and costs would not suffice to have the show at route 74 Glasgow the compensation alone would defeat the purpose of having the show and we feel that with the entertainment restrictions it would unfair to the people attending
We wish route74 Glasgow every success for the future.
Now don’t panic the show must go on as they say,
Truckmania 2026 will now be held at the
M8 truckstop Newhouse who have given us their full backing and support to make this happen, in a nutshell guys we have a bigger area , facilities including restaurant , showers toilets laundry facilities and even if anyone is in the mood there is a gym onsite,
We will have the booking opening shortly once the changes have been made,
