And the blue web links below. The Dial Inn was a live music venue opened in 1973 on West Regent street in Glasgow. The downstairs bar which was called 'The Heidi Lounge' hosted live bands every day. At it's height the best live bands from the Glasgow area played daily in the venue.

Scheme slideshow with the song "Keep Your Head Up". This song was recorded in 1981/82 when Scheme played the Dial Inn regularly, the recording is taken from a Radio Clyde broadcast from 1982 put together with some photos of the band. Radio Clyde played 3 songs on that 82 broadcast which were - Bow Out Maggie, Inner City Kids and Keep Your Head Up.

I wasn't going to post these but since there are not that many photos of bands in the Dial Inn at least it gets these pics documented. Here is a band from Easterhouse from 1982 called SYNDICATE, definitely NOT one of the better bands to have played the venue, certainly by no means as good as the regular Dial Inn bands. Syndicate played the Glasgow circuit for about 2 years from 81 to 83 before changing personnel and their name to 'AS IF' into the late 80s.
The band were pretty inexperienced in this photo although Graeme Tucker was a good singer songwriter and very good guitarist. the eejit in the rain deer jumper is yours truly. 😯
That same year '82' Sydicate played in the very first Auchinlea Festival in Easterhouse.
Even although the band wasn't all that great we knew enough to knock out a tune, we where never going to be rock stars but we had the time of our lives trying!!
