When we were kid's, we would scour the streets looking for empty gingies (returnable glass juice bottles) we would take them to our local cafΓ© or newsagents to get some sweets or an ice cream.
These paintings are a reminder of the good old days, before mobile phones and video games, set around the late 70s early 80s, when I was a child, spending summer holidays using our imagination and enjoying life without a care in the world.
Born in Govanhill in the southside of Glasgow, where I got my inspiration for this series of 5 paintings, some of you may recognise some of the places depicted.
"Gingie bottle's", " Ice cream cone's", "Bogie's", " Marbles", and "The battle".
These original paintings are available to purchase from
in Glasgow city centre in the Buchanan Galleries.
