Looking back at our Sponsors & Partners Reception

Last month, we welcomed representatives from a number of the organisations supporting this year’s MK Pride Festival to Fourteen Sky Bar and Restaurant at Hotel La Tour Milton Keynes.

It was a brilliant opportunity to come together, share our plans for Saturday 12 September and recognise the partnerships that help us continue to deliver a free and accessible festival for our community.

We were delighted to welcome representatives from Milton Keynes Community Foundation, thecentre:mk, Santander UK, Volkswagen Group United Kingdom, The Parks Trust and MK City Centre, alongside other supporters of this year’s festival.

We were also pleased to hear from Samantha Snelus, Philanthropy Director at Milton Keynes Community Foundation, who shared more about the Foundation’s work and the importance of continued support for LGBTQ+ communities across Milton Keynes.

Festival Director Keith Emmett III and Community Manager Jay Virgo also welcomed guests and shared an insight into the work happening behind the scenes as we head towards this year’s festival.

A special moment from the evening was the unveiling of JJ Adams’ All Born Naked, The Rest Is Drag – Artist Proof 1 of 5, as part of our ongoing Rainbow Fund campaign.

The artwork will be at MK Pride Festival at Campbell Park on Saturday 12 September, giving visitors the opportunity to see the piece in person and donate to the Rainbow Fund. 🌈

The campaign continues until 1 October 2026, with donations helping support LGBTQ+ community projects across Milton Keynes.

Looking ahead for Milton Keynes 🌈

Last week, we joined our media partner MKFM for their End of Summer Meet MK at Hotel La Tour Milton Keynes.

It was a brilliant evening bringing together businesses, organisations, community leaders and changemakers from across Milton Keynes — and a great opportunity to connect with others working to make our city a better place.

It was particularly lovely to hear from Cllr Jane Carr, Leader of Milton Keynes City Council, about the bright future ahead for Milton Keynes as the city looks towards MK60 and the UK City of Culture 2029 bid.

We were also delighted to hear from Ian Revell, Chief Executive of Milton Keynes Community Foundation, and Lauren Baker, Philanthropy Manager, about the importance of fundraising, continued support for Pride and the work of the Rainbow Fund across our city.

For us, these conversations matter. Pride is part of the wider fabric of Milton Keynes, and we’re proud to be part of those conversations all year round.

And now, that work continues as we head towards MK Pride Festival — Saturday 12 September at Campbell Park. 🌈
