Two pictures. One completely unique tattoo. ✨

My client came to me with these two images — the first, a photograph of herself full of colour, movement and personality; the second, a reference for the kind of artistic style she loved.

The brief was essentially to bring the two worlds together.

We took the pose, colours and character of her original photograph and reimagined them through that vibrant, illustrative, paint-splashed aesthetic — using the references as our starting point before developing the artwork into something designed specifically to work on skin.

And this was the result. Thanks Michelle ✌️💛

I absolutely LOVE projects like this.

You don't always need to arrive with a perfectly formed tattoo idea. Sometimes two completely different images, a colour palette, a photograph, or even just a feeling is enough to begin.

That's the best part of creating something together.

Listen First. Create Second. 🙌🏻

Made a start on this guy today on Chris' inner calf! Rest in Peace Walter, a loving, family man who was intelligent, kind, and devoted to a life of crime and money! Can't wait to finish it, and to add Mr Pinkman! Thanks as always Chris! ✌️💛
