I am a performer, director, and teacher working in theatre and circus, based in Moray, Scotland.

From a family of puppeteers, I have been working in theatre since I was little. When I started training aerial in 2010, at first only as a hobby, I became more interested in how to combine the physical body with the puppet on stage. Now my work is a blend of dance, physical theatre, puppetry, aerial, and circus, with a focus on the visual storytelling of human experience. I am interested in commun

ities and connection, and in particular working with children and young people. I strive to foster creativity that is accessible, exciting, and imaginative. I create my own theatre performances and events, sometimes directing and sometimes performing. I also work for other individuals and organisations as director, puppetry advisor, outside eye, and performer. In 2018 I co-founded Moray Flying Circus, a small circus school based at a village hall in Dyke, Forres. We teach classes for children and adults, as well as put on events and offer performances and one-off workshops.

So excited to share a snippet of our residency in South Uist, exploring Where Oceans Meet. A project connecting Gaelic and Sami artists to explore a site responsive headphones performance using music and dance.

This film is from our second cultural exchange at Ceolas in South Uist, and gives a little insight into what we explored during those two weeks and what we hope this production will look like.

Made a costume for Ewan & Lucie’s Yurtfest which is now 100% making it into a walkabout character…
It still needs some tweaking. A more fitted sleeve, maybe some cloud and lights along the bottom or the skirt and ruffles on the wrist and ankles…? But it was super cute and yes it lights up! I’ve no decent photos of it in the dark but if I find some I’ll post them up.

Appreciating this place every day with the gorgeous weather, beautiful people and the process of preparing for a big change.

Summery feelings and spending as much time on the beach as possible in amongst working like mad and trying to declutter and organise the last 7 years of living in Forres.
