Folkestone Women's Forum Take Up Space Festival March 6th-10th 2024 - book event tickets now ! FWF is a feminist organization with community, collaboration, and connection at our core.

We run a free monthly evening event open to people of all genders, across ages, social groups, and the political spectrum, where we meet to discuss our interests, work, passions, experiences - often with a speaker who we'll advertise in advance. We also support other satellite events (book discussions, walks, meals out etc) organized by our members. What happens? Each forum is free, we don't have

tickets. We gather from 7 in the Quarterhouse Clearing (upstairs bar space). Talks are always interactive and allow for mediated discussion. The space is freely given by the Quarterhouse. Young people aged 11+ are generally welcome to come with an accompanying adult, though we may amend this for specific events with a more adult theme. Babies are always welcome. FWF is run by local volunteers Catherine Sangster and Katy Lockey. Please email [email protected] if you'd like to get involved, help organize, suggest a speaker, or offer to speak yourself, or propose a satellite event.
