I'm pleased to announce our newest member, who has already taken part in his first watch alongside two of our watchkeepers. His uniform, crafted by one of our own, looked sharp and ready for duty. He jumped straight into SPOTting with the pelorus, but before long discovered the dog biscuits and may soon require a uniform refit!
Ted, our station mascot and well-travelled watchkeeper, enjoyed sharing his biscuit tin with him, though they turned out to be more like custard creams than dog biscuits.🥰😆😁

Here are the tide times for the next 7 days..
Please stay safe and enjoy our beaches and coastline.
️📌Please note: There is no standard accuracy when comparing the astronomical tide predictions and observed water levels.

If you get into trouble in the water, remember:

Float to Live. 💙

If you fall in or become tired, stay calm, float on your back, and call for help. If someone else is in trouble, throw them something that floats.

How to float:
• Tilt your head back to keep your airway clear
• Keep your ears submerged in the water
• Relax and focus on your breathing
• Spread your arms and legs to stay balanced
• Gently move your hands and feet if needed

Learn more about floating in our Water Safety Code: www.rlss.org.uk/water-safety-code

RNLI has great Float to Live advice on their pages.

Today we pause to honour all who took part in the D‑Day landings 82 years ago — those who crossed the Channel, those who supported from home, and those who never returned.

As our volunteers keep watch today, we also pay our respect to all those involved on that day 82 years ago.

We will remember them.
