Snowden is equally acclaimed as a composer, with works commissioned and performed worldwide. Her unique musical voice blends classical, folk, and contemporary influences, making her one of the most distinctive guitarists of her generation.

Join us for two days of world-class guitar with intimate concerts, masterclasses, competitions and talks on composing and guitar building plus offerings from some of the best luthiers in the country and the opportunity for attendees to perform in front of an audience in a showcase; all in the beautiful setting of Harvest House, overlooking the Suffolk coast.

Alexandra Whittingham will be giving a masterclass and an evening performance on Saturday 12th September at the Felixstowe Classical Guitar Festival

Described by The Guardian as “a young 21st-century virtuoso", Whittingham is celebrated for her expressive performances. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and former student of Chetham's School of Music, she has performed extensively throughout the UK, Europe, and North America, released acclaimed recordings on Decca Classics, and is widely regarded as one of the leading young classical guitarists of her generation.

In our masterclass Whittingham will be providing individualized coaching on technique, musical interpretation, tone production, phrasing, and performance skills. Participants and audience members are welcome for this Masterclass.
