Good morning and happy Monday!!

What a lovely busy weekend I’ve had for my first ever Suffolk Open Studio 🫶🏻

Thank you to everyone who came to visit, it was so lovely to see some friendly faces. And I can’t believe it but my green moon is now sold! One of my all time favourite pieces finally has its forever home!

Today the studio is closed as I am off to Thorpe Park for the day with my hubby, sister and brother, looking forward to our day of fun.

Hello there!

I’m having a little flurry of new followers so I thought it would be a good time to reintroduce myself!

I am Gemma, and I am a macrame artist based in Felixstowe, Suffolk, UK. I have a husband and daughter who are my biggest supporters and I can’t thank them enough for the love and support they give me.

I have a studio in the town centre, on Victoria Street, Felixstowe, where I work and display my work.

I adore making macrame and have a long list of things I would love to make. Knotting brings me so much joy, and is an amazing way to slow down and bring self care into my life.

I regularly teach workshops at my studio which was suitable for complete beginners, children and adults. You can check out my website to see what workshops are currently planned, plus you can request your own bespoke workshop too.

If you have any questions about my work please ask away. Some of my work is available on Etsy, I’m still working on uploading everything. I don’t have set hours in my studio so it’s best to message me first before visiting, or of course you’re welcome to pop by to see if I’m here and pop in for a cuppa and chat!

I officially have a sign! Only took me 8 months 🤣

And my studio is now officially open for !

I’ll be here until 5pm this evening and again tomorrow from 11am until 5pm.

I have brownies from .cafe and apricot flapjacks from Roseberry Cottage - Stennetts Community Cafe!

Just a few examples of what you can see at my studio THIS WEEKEND!!

Suffolk Open Studios starts this Saturday and I will be open this week and next weekend. I will be open 11am until 5pm both days and you can come in and have a good nose about! I will have refreshments on offer including some gorgeous cakes from .cafe

I will also have some little crafts on the go for children to have a try, and adults too if you fancy a go!

This coming weekend brings my first ever Open Studio as part of and I am so excited!

My husband and I spent time weeding the outside of the studio today to get it all looking nice and tidy and I was busy hanging more of my pieces up.

One of the items you’ll be able to see close up is my first ever macrame curtain which I finished last year. Still one of my all time favourite macrame pieces.

Which item of mine are you looking forward to seeing?

I am open this Saturday and Sunday, and the following Saturday and Sunday. I’ll have lots of items to see, crafts to try and refreshments for you 😍
