🎨 PAINT A SEASCAPE & SUPPORT OCEAN WARD FAMILIES! 🌊💙

Looking for a relaxing, creative evening out while supporting an incredible cause? Join me for a special Art for Heart Painting Workshop where you'll get to paint your very own beautiful tropical beach scene to take home!

All proceeds go straight to Families of Ocean Ward (Southampton Children’s Hospital Cardiac Ward) - a cause incredibly close to my family.

When: Saturday 24th October | 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Cost: £25 per person (All proceeds go straight to the charity!)
What’s included: Step-by-step guidance to create your own seascape masterpiece, all materials provided, and a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere! BYOB :)

How incredible is this Sugar Glider from today's Home Ed art session?! 🎨 Sugar gliders and decalcomania backgrounds made for such a fun project! This was a 3 stage project with a variety of shading techniques.

It’s been quite a day - 2.5 hours stuck in traffic trying to reach the studio, missing creative writing, and dealing with heavy roads all afternoon has also meant I've rescheduled afterschool art but that's the thing, I can reschedule. My heartfelt thoughts are with the motorcyclist’s family following the accident today.

A busy catch-up week ahead, but moments of creativity like this are the ultimate bright spot. Stay safe out there! 🖤

My littlest artists completely smashed it in Home Ed Art today! 🎨👏

We experimented with decalcomania watercolour backgrounds (always a big hit with all the texture!), followed by oil pastel transfers and coloured pencil details. Aren't these fierce tigers and critters just stunning? 🐯✨

So proud of their hard work and big imaginations today as they did free play art after! 💛

Cosy evening vibes in tonight’s 1:1 watercolour session! 🎃🍁

We practiced loose brushwork on warm autumnal elements, acorns, pinecones, and pumpkins, and put it all together into a colourful pumpkin patch scene. Love seeing these rich autumn tones come to life on paper! ✨🖌️

✨ Creative Writing Day in Our Home Ed Workspace! ✍️📚
Today was all about bringing stories to life! From crafting illustrated book covers to carefully writing out original tales like "The Two Bearcat's and the Digger" and "The Hunter", the creativity was flowing. 🎨📖
It’s always amazing to see how writing, illustration, and imagination come together when learning happens at our own pace. 💡

What a brilliantly creative day in our Home Ed Art sessions today! 🎨✨

Our first group dove into some fantastic mixed-media layers to create their animal portraits! They kicked things off with textured decalcomania backgrounds using plastic wrap and watercolours, transferred their drawings over top with oil pastels, and then brought it all to life with detailed coloured pencil work. Aren't they gorgeous? 🦁🦒🐱🐴

Then, over in our Gold Arts Award group, we tackled the power of colour as value using gouache! It’s such a great technique for understanding depth and tone, and everyone did such a wonderful job playing with light and dark.

🎨 What a creative day in the studio! ✨

We explored two completely different techniques across my Art Hour classes today:

After-School Art Club: Our young artists mastered the art of pointillism. Using only primary colours (red, yellow, and blue), they carefully dotted their way to create stunning sunflowers, letting the colours naturally blend together right on the page! 🌻🎨

Adults' Art Hour: In the evening, our adult creators focused on light and atmosphere, using soft pastels to capture a warm, radiant candlelight glow against the dark background. 🕯️✨
