🎶🎤🎷🎸 AJU Announcement 🎸🎷🎤🎶

All Jazzed Up are sad to announce that our fabulous singer James Billington will be moving on from the band.

James is synonymous with All Jazzed Up, having performed with and managed the band since its inception over 10 years ago! During his time with us, James has also built an incredible reputation as a versitile front man adept in many different styles.

🎙Statement from James🎙:

"I am incredibly proud of every moment I have spent with All Jazzed Up since Simon, Steve, Pete and I started it up in late 2013 and it is therefore very difficult to be moving on.

I am so grateful to have played with and made such great friends in the band including those above plus Neil, Cat, Gary, Dusty, David, Kev, Matt and Chris plus all the incredible deps and guests that have joined us over the years.

At the heart of every performance of course has been those we have played for and I will be forever grateful for the love and support you have shown me over the years. To the many bookers including countless brides and grooms (lots of which are friends) and audience members at functions, festivals and jazz nights: thank you for everything.

Working with AJU has helped me develop hugely as a singer and performer over the past decade and I am so proud of how we have collectively built an amazing reputation of being one of the top bands in the region.

This has been an exceptionally emotional decision for me to make but ultimately it is one I am also excited about as I start this new venture in my musical career, singing with Joey The Lips."

James, everyone associated with AJU are incredibly grateful for your friendship, leadership, and all of your hard work over the years and we wish you the very best for the future!

Whilst we are sad to see James go, we are super excited for the future as we look to build on everything we have created over the last 10+ years, and remain committed to delivering outstanding entertainment for all our clients and fans in the months and years ahead. Keep your eyes peeled for the exciting addition to our fantastic lineup in the very near future!

We're excited to be back at Westpoint this weekend for the Wedding Extravaganza! 👰🤵As usual we'll be playing for the fashion shows working with the wonderful team from ! 🎶🎷🎺🎸🎤🥁🎶 Buffy, James and Matt will also be at the All Jazzed Up stand ready to meet new couples and talk wedding music - make sure to stop by for a chat!

We are again sad to learn and share some sad news with you. That of the passing of another friend and avid supporter of AJU, Andy Toye.
Andy was a quiet and gentle man and was an ever-present at our public gigs, particularly at Ocean Jazz Nights in Exmouth, as well as being involved in local politics and councils for many years.
We will retain lots of memories of Andy at our events, especially of him dancing to us and sadly, a frequent dance partner of his was our friend Glenda.
RIP Andy. We hope you and Glenda can reunite and have a good dance together in the clouds.

We are extremely sad to learn the news of the passing of a very close friend of the band, Glenda Budd, who died peacefully on Sunday 17th August, 2025
Some of the band have known Glenda through Exmouth Musical Theatre Company, whom she was an active member of for many years however she was a huge supporter of All Jazzed Up, having attended AJU’s Ocean Jazz Nights almost every week from its humble beginnings with her sister Julie and daughter Lacey.
We will always cherish our wonderful memories of Glenda, supporting and dancing to us at gigs all over the region. We were always and will remain so grateful. 
Our love and support go out to Martin and the rest of Glenda’s family and friends at this difficult time. Xx

Great night at the Black Horse Sidmouth last Friday with our 6 piece band! Electric atmosphere with the Jazz Festival taking place in the town, so we started with a swing set before bringing the party tunes! 🎶🎷🎤 Thanks to everyone who came along, hopefully we'll be back again soon!
