Had so much fun this weekend at Beth's hen party! They booked Drag & Draw with and I'm so happy I was assigned this gig!
Whole group was an absolute vibe - I love when I leave a party feeling energised and bouncy!

I had so much fun at this Drag and Draw Hen Party today!
took the photos while tutoring the class - she was amaze to work with, as always 🥰
Rhion is getting married in June, and her sister, Roisin, booked us for her hen party. 11/10 group - an absolute joy to spend time with!
The theme was Disco Cowgirl - I was only told the theme yesterday, so I improvised a little, but I think it worked!
Please excuse my face in the photo of me carrying Rhion - she was really light, but my mouth was writing cheques my arms couldn't cash when I agreed to hold that pose for 3 minutes 🤣
Mother of the bride wants us back for her birthday later this year - can't wait to see some people from this party again soon 🥰

I haven't been in drag in 6 months due to my new job and life generally being busy (unexpected house move forced on us by landlords 🥲)
On Saturday I had the pleasure of life modelling for Charlotte's hen do with , working with who was tutoring the event (and took these photos)
The hens were all wonderful; good vibes all round during my time there 🥰
I've missed being in drag!

I was really sad yesterday after bad news, water being off in my house for like 8 hours, and having to deal with bigots
But I decided I was gonna stream anyway and you all made me feel so much better while I derped around in Baldur's Gate
Thank you 🥰

I joined the Army in 2008 at the age of 18; I hadn’t planned to join - I had zero prospects in life following average school grades, dropping out of college due to boredom, and working part-time at Superdrug. A friend of mine said he was joining and asked me to go to the Recruitment Centre with him for moral support.
As I sat waiting for my friend’s interview to finish, one of the recruiters came to speak to me - at the time I was wearing eyeliner, sporting an emo fringe, and carrying my skateboard (not exactly Army material). He convinced me to have a go at their entry tests (to be honest, looking back, it was a chance for me to do well at something for some much-needed self-assurance). I passed their tests, got an A grade at assessment, and was in Basic Training less than 6 months later.
The Army did a lot of damage to my mental health - I was forced to adapt to the military’s mindset, embodied toxic traits, and allowed my insecurities to grow subconsciously; it was that or stay true to myself and continue being bullied by both peers and superiors. After two tours of Afghanistan, 2 years in recruitment (the best two years of my career), undertaking pilot selection, and a fairly severe knee injury I decided enough was enough and handed in my (year-long) notice.
While leaving the Army in 2017 I went through a fairly hard breakup which turned my life upside down. This was the first time I had been called insecure, and I steadily began to wake up to mental health (and the fact mine might not be as flawless as I had thought). I contacted a therapist and went through a few months of Transactional Analysis therapy which is the point my values, beliefs, and behaviour began to change.
I became an IT engineer for an insurance company in the centre of London post-Army; my manager was ex-Navy so on paper we were going to get on great. Unfortunately he hadn’t addressed any military conditioning which resulted in a fairly explosive end to our manager-employee relationship after a year working there (it’s hard to work for someone who takes their bad moods out on their staff, bullies people, and prioritises drinking sessions with their friends over work ethic).
My understanding of mind management and mental health had become a hobby now; I’d watched countless TED Talks, read a handful of books, and hundreds of articles online.
I was introduced to Ru Paul’s Drag Race in 2018 and I immediately fell in love with the art, performances, and characters. I’ve always appreciated make up and “women’s” clothing, but didn’t think it was ever an option for me before this discovery. I began watching make up tutorials on YouTube, acquiring wigs, dresses, and shoes, and got into drag for the first time at London Pride 2019.
I only got into drag three more times between Pride and the COVID-19 lockdown - I focused my energy on work and my male modelling career instead. Then, after becoming unemployed at the hands of COVID, I created a Tiktok account to give me a creative outlet to focus on. My drag was well-received, so I got a new wig and began to develop Rhiebelle as a character.
Twitch streaming had been recommended to me for about a year before I finally started looking into it, and now I wish I hadn’t waited as long as I did! I’m in love with the community and safe space I’ve created there, and am very excited for it to continue growing! My Sunday streams have (unintentionally) become a space for people to talk about mental health and challenges they’re facing in life and it honestly excites me so much to have allowed for that to happen and that people feel safe sharing their stories with me.
