Hey gang, my names Jacob, and i am well chuffed to announce that i will be hosting these open mics on a monday from now on! I sing and play in a band called Poppyshow, can play a few instruments to an acceptable-ish level and literally love all types of music from Britney Spears to Pearl Jam. I am super excited to hear everyone and anyone and have a little jam too if you like x
We have a full drum kit and full PA and monitors so we can host anyone from a singer songwriter to a full band which is cool, we will also have a basic drummer (me) to add some lovely p e r c u s s i o n to your performance if you so wish and remember there’s always people around on the night who I’m sure would love to collaborate.
- You can just turn up on the night if you like, no need to book if you’re a solo or duo performer.
- If you are a singer and don’t play any instruments or need an accompaniment I will be bringing my guitar and my trusty chords app and would love to help you out by playing for you, no need to message for that just come up and find me and we’ll work it out there and then!
- Same goes if you’re a drummer and want to play, come along and you can lay down a groove and we can have a jam.
- If you’re a full band you can book in by giving us a message before the night to make sure we will have time for you, or just turn up and hope for the best, and if your a band that plays you could be in for a chance to be booked for a support slot for some bigger bands and events we do in the future.
I will often be bringing some of my band mates and friends down to co-host with me so will always be a night of music and good vibes, so yeah, nice to meet you all and hopefully see you there. Any questions throw them down in the comments below xx
