HISTORY
Formed at The Masons Arms in Pebworth, we were taught (very kindly) our first few dances by the Traditional Ilmington Morris Men. The first dance out was 16th June 1979 to mark the 25th anniversary of Pebw

orth Village Hall. That original side were:
Musicians: Edwin Hall (Piano Accordion), Rob McLeish (Drum)
Dancers: Kev McLeish, Peter Harrison, Robin Bowen, Tony Smith, Geoffrey Bennet, Brian Hay, Michael Jeffrey

KIT
White collarless shirts, black breeches, white knee length socks, black trainers. Blue, red and gold baldricks, arm bands and bell pads. White handkerchiefs and gnarly sticks. Originally, the baldricks were blue and gold - also Ilmington's colours, so the red was diplomatically added. Straw hats were worn until the day a gust of wind blew several under a passing lorry. DANCES
We dance a mix of traditions, including Border, Cotswold, Lichfield, Vale and Pebworth. Any dances that require fiddly moves are altered to suit our "robust" style, or dropped from the repertoire. MUSIC
Mainly melodeon, but originally was piano accordian. We've also danced to drums, harmonicas, fiddles and humming.
