Did someone mention Christmas?
I’m sure I heard last week…
‘Next Monday, bring your carol books.
We might just take a peek…’

Time to dust down those Carol books!

And on the subject of Christmas... is it too early to mention our Christmas concert?
This annual, afternoon event in Ellon Parish Church is a firm favourite with us and with our lovely audience members. The date for your diaries this year is Sunday 13 December. 🎶 🎄 🔔 🎅 ☃

We're back! Rehearsals started on Monday and we were delighted to see so many familiar faces come through the door - and to welcome several new ones!
Here's a short snippet of us getting to grips with a choral arrangement of Joni Mitchell's classic 'Both Sides Now'. Although some have sung it before, many haven't. As first rehearsals go, we were sounding pretty good 🎶🤩
New members are always welcome. Join us in Ellon Parish Kirk Centre on Monday evenings at 7.30pm.

Back in May, Ythan Singers - along with other local choirs and musicians - took part in the May Music Extravaganza (MME) charity concert at Aberdeen Music Hall. This year, the event raised an amazing £6,000 for local charities.

On Sunday, representatives from the three chosen charities (and from participating choirs) joined the organising committee for a fabulous afternoon tea, during which Gordon Hay, our MME Master of Ceremonies, presented each charity with a cheque for £2000.

Pictures show Gordon with: Ryan Wilson, Head of Fundraising, Charlie House HQ; Lindsay Milligan, Service Coordinator, Grampian Heart and Health; Emma Garland, Partnership Manager, Aberdeen Performing Arts.
And our wonderful MME Musical Director, Morag Simpson, with the charity reps.
