We might even sneak in the odd joke or two. The RHUL Comedy Society is dedicated to appreciation and performance of comedy. Our members write, workshop and perform stand-up and sketches, put on gigs, go on trips and generally have a (keyword alert) LAUGH. This year we plan to follow on from our success at the 2014 Edinburgh Festival Fringe by taking a show that will be bigger, better! We are commi
tted to helping our members hone their comedic talents, whether it be stand-up, sketch writing/performing or anything else they may think of. We aren’t comedian-exclusive though. There have always been a large percentage of the society that come along to our meetings and socials who aren’t interested in performing or writing comedy. We welcome anyone who wants to come along just to appreciate the subject itself. In the past we have taken trips to all sorts of comedy shows, and we plan on expanding on that greatly in the coming year. In our first trip to the Edinburgh Fringe, not everyone performed, some members came along with us simply to have a great time at the world’s largest arts festival, for a lot cheaper than it would have been otherwise! We meet regularly every Thursday from 7pm, so come along and get to know us.
