🤟✨ PART ONE — YOU CAME FOR THE TENT… BUT FIRST, LET ME SIGN SOMETHING. ✨🤟

Okay… I know. 😂

There is a rather LARGE, glowing, impossible-to-ignore VenYou sitting behind me and you’re probably wondering when I’m actually going to talk about it…

Not yet. 👀😂

Because before I show you what’s behind me, I wanted to introduce myself in a slightly different way.

Hi 👋 I’m Laura — and I’ve been signing for around 47 years. 🤟💗

I grew up with two deaf grandparents, and sign language was simply part of how we communicated as a family. I learned from them from a very young age, and because they didn’t always use exactly the same signs, what you’ll see from me can sometimes be a bit of a mixture too!

I’m not claiming to be a BSL teacher.
I’m not here to teach anyone how they should sign.

This is simply how I learned to communicate with two people I loved very much. ❤️

So I’m really hoping that some of you within the Deaf community come across this video — and that, at the very least, you can understand me! 🤟🥰

And actually… I’d LOVE to hear from you.

Okay… I MAY have taken about 700 videos of this tent that night. 😂💃

But can you blame me?! 😍

Every time the light changed… I filmed it.
Every time the music changed… I filmed it.
Every time I walked past it… apparently I filmed it. 😂

And THIS wee clip had to make the cut. 💗💙💜

The disco light throws patterns right across the white PVC walls and doors, while the LED lighting completely changes the colour of the whole tent — and honestly, the effect is unreal. ✨🪩

Last night, the black VenYou went from ready for the party… to absolutely full of one.

We had a Mexican-themed garden party for a very belated 50th birthday / end-of-summer get-together — and naturally, it was the perfect excuse to put our black tent through its paces.

The video starts with the tent all set up at night, lights flashing, music on and everything ready to go…

…and then you see it exactly as it’s meant to be — full of people, music, dancing and having a brilliant night.

The black tent has such a different feel after dark. Add the disco lighting, strobes, UV and LED effects and it completely transforms into your own private party space at home.

Safe to say the “product testing” went rather well.
