Meet Macdonald, the sensible patriarch of Macdonald-Hall in this month's show, Love And Freindship [sic], a comedy based on fanfiction written by Jane Austen when she was 14, and her only story set mostly in Scotland!

Macdonald is a sensible Scottish land-owner with plans to arrange a sensible marriage for his daughter, Janetta, with a man he sensibly approves of...who said romance is dead?
As the patriarch of Macdonald-Hall, his word is law, even if certain relatives take that as a light suggestion. How difficult are his locks to pick? Will love conquer all? Or does father truly know best? And moat importantly, how difficult are his locks to pick?

Just 3 weeks until Love And Freindship [sic] is performed! ❤️

Written when she was just a teenager, Love and Freindship [sic] is like no other Jane Austen story. Prepare for protagonists casually starving their parents to death, women fainting so often it's a deadly hazard, improbable revelations of parentage, dramatic (or underwhelming) death scenes, and, of course, the basis of real love being entirely that your parents don't approve.

Meet Edward's most particular friend Augustus in this month's show, Love And Freindship [sic], a comedy based on fanfiction written by Jane Austen when she was 14, and her only story set mostly in Scotland!

A rebel. Augustus is a man who treads his own path and makes his choices for himself, not the ones his family wished he did. Or what the law might suggest. He shares this defiant spirit with Edward, his close friend. His BEST friend! Augustus is the cake to Edward's cherry. He is the ship to Edward's figurehead.

Meet Bailiff 2 in this month's show, Love And Freindship [sic], a comedy based on fanfiction written by Jane Austen when she was 14, and her only story set mostly in Scotland!

Baillif 2, although he baillifs for a living, this is not what defines him. Since a young age, he has yearned to become a ballet dancer. Often on quiet bailiffing days, he performs his favourite sections of Swan Lake to Baillif 1 moving him to tears

Meet the Bailiff in this month's show, Love And Freindship [sic], a comedy based on fanfiction written by Jane Austen when she was 14, and her only story set mostly in Scotland!

Bailiff takes his work very seriously but is always on the lookout for new job opportunities. Or at least he was, until a tragic script rewrite last rehearsal.

Meet Sir Edward, the domineering father of Edward in this month's show, Love And Freindship [sic], a comedy based on fanfiction written by Jane Austen when she was 14, and her only story set mostly in Scotland!

Family. Status. Wealth. Respect. Horses. Values that Sir Edward stands by. Until his embarrassment of a son risks bringing it all down with his foolishness. He should have disciplined him more. But at least Sir Edward can still take comfort in knowing he can buy horses.

Meet the cold middle sized sister of Edward in this month's show, Love And Freindship [sic], a comedy based on fanfiction written by Jane Austen when she was 14, and her only story set mostly in Scotland!

Augusta is the middle sized sister of Edward. Cold, forbidding and lacking in sensibility or sympathy, warmth or affection, she is not a fan of expressions of regard or suddenly arrived sisters-in-law. Which is disgusting really, when one considers that Laura is perfect, and absolutely not prone to ruining lives.

Introducing the cast of CQD to SOS: A Titanic Story.

It's 12:15AM, April 15th, 1912. Titanic has hit an iceberg. In approximately two hours, over 2,000 people will be in the freezing water of the Atlantic Ocean, with survival counted in minutes. Their lives depend on three men – Titanic radio operators Jack Phillips and Harold Bride, and Carpathia radio operator Harold Cottam – and the radio set that broke the day before. Fate has placed Phillips, Bride and Cottam, three working men doing a job, at the centre of one of the biggest peace-time tragedies of the twentieth century.

You can catch this show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival from the 17th-22nd August at 17:30 in 16 Willow Studio at Greenside @ Riddles Court.
