Think you’ve seen the best stand-up comedy? Think again. 100 of the best comedians from around the world will battle it out in a series of knockout heats, each performing their strongest material for a chance to reach our prestigious Finals Week.

🎤 Fringe Comedian of the Year 2025 – SEMI-FINALS START TODAY! 🎭

From 350+ entries, 100 selected comedians, 18 heats, 3 weeks of online voting, and a wildcard round, we’re now down to the final 20 acts at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Over the next 4 days (Aug 20–23), these comedians will battle it out in knockout semi-finals:
Peter Bell • Vlad Ilich • Irish • Phil De Lange • Aaron Wood • Dean Coughlin • Bennet Kavanagh • Aditya Gautam • Ross Leslie • Bert Broadbent • Celine Kuklowsky • Fab Goualin • Joe Da Costa • Dru Cripps • Friz Frizzle • Kathy Maniura • Prateek Kohli • Charlie Lewis • Henry Bretz • Katie Boyle

🏆 The winner of each semi goes straight to the Grand Final (Aug 24).

🗳️ Each semi will also have a 2nd place awarded and these acts will enter a draw for one final wildcard place in the Grand Final.

⚡ On August 24 we move into the BIG ROOM, where one comedian will lift the trophy, win £1,000 cash, and be crowned Edinburgh Fringe Comedian of the Year 2025!
