There’s been a lot of chat about AI and tattooing recently, so wanted to make my position clear here.
My work is all mine, hand drawn with pen on paper or digitally. Any writing or text, admin, marketing (everything!) is done solely by me. I will never use AI.
I am strongly opposed to AI for artistic, environmental and human rights reasons.
Respectfully I request you do not send me AI generated reference images. It steals from other artists and may give a false sense of expectation in regards as to what works as a tattoo.
It causes land, water, air and noise pollution, takes a huge amount of resources, generates forever chemicals and creates huge amounts of electrical waste. All this detrimentally impacts local communities and wildlife.
Please never feed photos of my work to AI. It allows my work and style to be stolen, misused and misappropriated and cannot be undone.
Instead send me your prompts, notes, doodles, description (anything!). If I’ve done something you like, send me a screenshot and tell me what you like about it. If another artist’s tattoo is the reference image, I will do my own version for you. It’s part of my job to visualise your idea in a creative way to give you a unique, tattoo-able design which will work well on your body. You deserve to be over the moon happy with original art that’s fundamentally human!
