Bridging Worlds brings together a body of generative, data-driven, and immersive works that explore how systems, rules, and technologies shape the worlds we inhabit and imagine.

The exhibition spans interactive installations, real-time AI systems, sensor-driven pieces, and pattern-based generative visuals presented as both digital and physical works. Many works connect ideas first explored through my algorithmic and generative experiments in the 1990s with contemporary tools and contexts, including environmental data, immersive media, and responsive digital environments.

Several pieces emerged through collaboration across Scotland's creative-tech community, from environmental data projects and workshops to experimental performance and immersive exhibitions. Together, the works form a network of interconnected "worlds" shaped through code, motion, behaviour, and participation.

Visitors can expect evolving digital forms, responsive environments, and works that blur the boundaries between physical and virtual space.

🎶🌍 What does the air sound like today?

Sphaerosymphony turns real-time air quality data into ever-changing music and visuals. Each monitoring station has its own soundscape, shaped by the past 24 hours of:

🌫️ PM2.5 – tiny particles so small they can travel deep into your lungs and even enter your bloodstream
🌬️ PM10 – slightly bigger particles like dust and pollen

🔗 Explore: sphaerosymphony.com

🎧 Listen, watch, and maybe even set up your own sensor to hear the music of the air you breathe.

Sphaerosymphony is an immersive, interactive installation that transforms real-time air quality data into a powerful visual and auditory experience.

On a snowy Christmas Eve, deep in a Highland glen, Santa made a special stop. As he adjusted his sack of gifts, he was greeted by a curious group of furry haggis friends.

"Santa!" chirped the smallest Haggis, its round eyes wide with excitement. "We’ve heard about your magic gifts, but we’ve never had any before!"

Santa smiled warmly. "Every creature deserves a little Christmas magic. Tonight, it’s your turn."

He handed out beautifully wrapped packages, each tied with ribbons and a sprig of heather. The Haggises eagerly opened their gifts, revealing tiny tartan scarves, glittering bells, and a miniature sled perfect for racing down snowy slopes.

The Haggises danced in delight, their joyous laughter ringing through the crisp winter air. As Santa climbed back into his sleigh, he glanced over his shoulder, seeing the Haggises happily playing with their newfound treasures.

With a hearty "Merry Christmas to all!" Santa soared away, leaving behind the happiest little gathering in the Highlands.
