It’s been a week and we’re still buzzing!! Last Saturday the Edinburgh College Next Gen Stage at Meadows Festival Edinburgh was filled with incredible music, brilliant artists and a crowd that made every performance feel special ✨

Today is the first day of our amazing performances taking to the stage. Make sure to get down early to not miss any off the incredible talent on the lineup (and to check out all the tasty food & drink stalls 😋)

Brass Blast is a multi award‑winning youth project based in East Edinburgh by .musica – an after school group, an exciting youth street band, a friendly and welcoming space, a learning hub for all abilities and a great place to develop musical skills. They’re always open to new members and currently bring together young brass players from across Edinburgh, giving them the chance to learn, rehearse and perform as a band

This summer they’re stepping onto bigger stages, with a performance at the Edinburgh International Festival in August and their first EP on the way very soon ✨

is a high‑energy street band bringing together popular tunes that resonate with Scottish communities and mixing them with Latin grooves, carnival rhythms and plenty of street‑party flavour. Born at Edinburgh College, the band combines brass, woodwind and percussion to create a joyful, bold and unmistakably live sound

What makes StreetMash special is not just what they play, but how they play it. Learning by ear, moving while they perform and making music that feels social, fun and full of rhythm. Their philosophy is simple: music should be shared, felt and enjoyed together, whether in a parade, a festival field or a community celebration
