Another amazing week on tour comes to an end! 🔬🧪💥

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along to one of my science shows this week at Croyde Bay, Woolacombe Bay, Twitchen House, Hendra Holiday Park, Woolacombe Sands and Devon Cliffs. Seeing so many smiling faces, hearing the laughter, and watching everyone get involved is exactly why I love doing what I do.

It was also lovely to spend part of the week with my children before finishing the tour solo, and I even managed to catch up with two great friends along the way. Weeks like this remind me how lucky I am to travel the country sharing the wonder of science with so many fantastic families.

🚀 100 Curious Minds! 🚀

Wow… we’ve just hit 100 Instagram followers! 🎉

It might not be thousands (yet 😉), but every single person who follows, likes, comments or shares my science adventures means the world. Thank you for joining me on this journey and helping spread a little curiosity wherever we go.

The tour has been in full swing this past week, taking The Science Dude to:

One of the best parts has been having my children join me for a few of the shows. Watching them experience life on tour, help behind the scenes and share the excitement has made some brilliant memories I’ll never forget.

🎂⚛️ The scientific formula for an epic birthday party…

🎵 Add music.
🕺 Mix in some dancing.
🎯 Throw in a few party games.
🧪 Carefully add a generous amount of explosions, flying objects, giant smoke rings and scientific chaos…

Then stand well back and watch the fun happen! 😄

Saturday’s party was exactly why I love what I do. We spent the first half dancing, laughing and playing games before switching gears and turning everyone into scientists for a show packed with experiments that had the whole room shouting, cheering and asking, “Can we do that again?!”

The birthday superstar absolutely smashed it, and seeing them proudly standing next to The Science Dude sign at the end reminded me why these moments are so special. Helping one child feel like the star of the day while inspiring a room full of future scientists… that’s a pretty awesome way to spend a Saturday.

Whether you’re after the full Science Dude Party Experience with games, music, dancing and a science show, or you’d rather jump straight into the interactive science show where everyone gets involved with the experiments, I’d love to help create a birthday that’s remembered long after the last slice of cake has disappeared.

Half term recap… posted only slightly later than intended. By “slightly” I mean I’ve finally found the gap in the schedule between running a business, being a single dad, and wondering if I’ve remembered to put the washing on.

This half term somehow included gigs, a few surf sessions, catching up with friends, and another trip to Wi******er Science Centre with the kids. I’m still not entirely sure how we fitted it all in, but somehow we did!

One thing I absolutely love is how fascinated the kids are by science. It doesn’t seem to matter where we are—science centres, the beach, or even the kitchen—they’re constantly asking questions that usually start with “Dad, why…” and end with me making up an answer until Google can rescue me later.

The Science Centre was a huge hit as always. Watching them get excited about discovering how things work is brilliant and a reminder that curiosity is one of the best things we can encourage.

As for me, I’m still trying to master the art of running my own business while keeping two small humans alive, entertained, educated, and occasionally fed vegetables. So far, nobody has filed a complaint.

It’s chaotic, exhausting, rewarding, hilarious, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Now if anyone knows where I left my coffee, my keys, and the last week of half term, please let me know. 🌊🔬😂

Science meets endurance (my favourite)

This weekend there were no science shows… so I became the experiment instead. 🧪🏃

The challenge: see how many 5-mile laps I could complete at Endure 24.

The result: 17 laps. 85 miles.

Over 24 hours, my body became a giant energy-transfer machine, converting an alarming amount of snacks into forward motion. 🍌⚡

There were highs, lows, sore legs, tired feet and more determination than I knew I had.

85 miles later, I’m still trying to process it.

What an experience. 💪

Another incredible weekend of science shows ✨🔬

Back again at Croyde Bay Hotel, Twitchen House, and Woolacombe Bay — and what a weekend it was! Three fantastic shows, hundreds of brilliant minds, and so much curiosity, energy, and excitement for science 🙌

It honestly never gets old seeing those moments when something clicks — the gasps, the laughs, the “wow” reactions… that’s what it’s all about 💥

This weekend was extra special too — I had my son with me, which meant not only sharing the shows, but also making the most of everything else… arcades, the swimming pool, and plenty of time in the games rooms 🎮🏊‍♂️ Moments like that are just as important ❤️

I’ve also been blown away by some of the lovely feedback from you all — I’ll be sharing a few of those in the photos because they truly mean the world ❤️

If even a handful of people left feeling inspired, asking questions, or seeing science a little differently… then that’s a win 🧪✨

Two shows in two days… safe to say the voice is feeling it today 😂

But honestly, what a week.

Newquay and Woolacombe absolutely delivered — proper fun from start to finish. Even managed to catch up with an old friend in Newquay and squeeze in a surf at Woolacombe beach as well 🏄‍♂️

3 shows. 2 days. One unforgettable North Devon tour 🌊🔬

From Croyde to Woolacombe, the energy across every show was incredible. Performing at Croyde Bay, Twitchen House, and Woolacombe Bay — each crowd brought something different, and every single one made it special.

There’s nothing quite like seeing curiosity spark in real time… those “wait, WHAT?!” moments are why I love what I do.

Grateful for the warm welcomes, the stunning views, and the chance to bring science to life in such amazing places.
