Our next book club meeting is happening on Thursday 25 June at 7pm in the Lansdowne Hotel. This month, we've been reading The Butcher Boy by Patrick McCabe. Described as 'a brilliant but deeply disturbing novel', our group will doubtless have a lot to say about this one! Why not come along and join us? Just wow!! We felt like we were in a bar back home in Ireland today, for a proper Sunday session. Courtesy of the fabulous Ceol Na Mara Band, at the wonderful The Hurst Arms! And a massive shout out to this awesome family of dancers - one of which is a star in Rinceoiri Ratton. The gorgeous Hermon family dancers. What a day ☘️

Did anyone else go to see the amazing BIIRD last night in Brighton? Just WOW! What a talented group of women - on a mission to change the perception of trad. We LOVED them ☘️

The night was even more special when the fabulous Rinceoiri Ratton dancers were given a little shout out for their dancing in the crowd ☘️ Do follow them folks and check them out when their next on tour if you haven’t already

Another amazing meet-up for our book club. This month we read Kathy Burke's beautiful memoir, A Mind of My Own. We loved its honesty and humanity. We loved its depiction of growing up in London as the child of Irish immigrants. Four BIG stars from us. Next month's book is The Butcher Boy by Patrick McCabe.
